About us
First established in the 1978 by Andy Dawson, Jessicas began retailing Kitchenware, housewares, giftware and New Zealand made products.
The current owners are Darren and Jane who found the store whilst on holiday in New Zealand with their young baby boy Max.
Jane thought that New Zealand would be great place to raise a family and after an extensive selection process and Long Term Business Visa from NZ immigration the family moved to Napier.
Darren and Jane purchased Jessicas in Napier during 2006 where they began to introduce kitchen products and cookware, sourced from top suppliers from all over the world.
Darren having worked for a UK cookware company for some 12 years used his contacts to import exclusive UK brands directly into Napier. New Zealand immigration made this a stipulation of the visa as it was seen as a benefit to New Zealand offering a wider choice of goods and at a competitive market price.
The success of Jessicas in Napier led to a new store being opened in Hastings during 2008. Jessicas Kitchen Store opened during February 2008 specializing in the top brands of kitchenware products.
During October 2008 Jessicas took control of The Homestore Wellington branch. Now all three stores have access to some of the world’s leading cookware and kitchenware brands.

The website is one of Jessicas’ latest new additions, where customers on the web can purchase a selection of the three store’s products online.
The products are shipped from Napier and Wellington depending on the brand and which store is permitted by the manufacturer/distributor to sell that brand in New Zealand.
